This somatic-informed session is grounded in the science of the nervous system and the evidence that our bodies often respond long before our minds do. Your mind may understand that you’re safe, yet your nervous system can still be braced, activated, or preparing for danger — a mismatch that shapes everything from mood and behaviour to sleep, digestion, and immune health.

Together, we’ll explore how stress lives in the body, why co-regulation is essential for both adults and children, and how simple shifts in the nervous system can improve emotional wellbeing, deepen sleep, and support healthier patterns in our families. You’ll learn accessible, evidence-based practices that help the body feel safe enough to settle — so the mind can soften, the heart can open, and the whole system can return to balance.

How to prepare

Give yourself permission to arrive as you are.

It’s helpful to clear a little time after the workshop so your system can integrate and settle into the new experience.

What you'll need

   •    A quiet space with a stable internet connection

   •    Preferably hands-free so you can fully participate in the exercises

   •    Comfortable clothing — pajamas encouraged

   •    Some spaciousness after the session to let the work land
