Land & Responsibility Acknowledgment

At Thrive, we acknowledge that we live, create, and work on the sacred, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

This acknowledgment goes far beyond words for us — it is a responsibility we live, learn from, and remain committed to every day. We recognize that words without action can perpetuate colonial harm. As settlers, we acknowledge our position within ongoing settler colonialism and commit to actively confronting our own complicity.

For us, this means:

  • continuously learning from Indigenous Knowledge Keepers and Elders,
  • challenging the systems and patterns that uphold colonial structures,
  • taking concrete steps to support Indigenous sovereignty and self-determination,
  • and ensuring our work contributes to healing, reciprocity, and the restoration of right relationship.

We honour the wisdom and teachings that have cared for these lands since time immemorial. Our gratitude must be expressed through action — through how we listen, how we show up, how we create, and how we serve.

This acknowledgment is our living promise: to learn deeply, to walk humbly, and to transform awareness into meaningful, ongoing support for Indigenous Peoples and their inherent rights.Huy̓ch̓q̓a.
