An elder of the Hopi, Tewa, and Havasupai nations, Mona Polacca is a spiritual leader, activist, and advocate for Indigenous rights and the sacredness of water. With a background in social work and justice studies, she has devoted her life to bridging traditional wisdom and contemporary global challenges. As a founding member of the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers and a leader in the Turtle Island Project, Mona carries forward ancestral teachings of balance, prayer, and care for all living beings. Through her voice and presence, she calls humanity to restore harmony with the Earth, one another, and the generations yet to come.
